This assignment was about taking pictures of long depths of field and things that were up close. To take these photos I went to the Botanic Gardens and took pictures of the flowers. I then went to photoshop and made color adjustments.

In this project, I went out and took photos of toys and people to make the photo look like an illusion. I did this by someone standing close to the camera and another person standing way in the back of the photo pretending they were being held by the person close to the camera. The toys also were used to make an illusion. For example, the toys were bigger than the person. We also took these illusion to convey a message through the photo. My message for one of the photos was the stereotype that girls aren't as strong a boys. To convey this a made a girl really small in the photo. For my other photo I did a kid sitting on a shoe and the message was that he couldn't fit into society's shoes and he feels bad about it.
For this project I went out a took pictures of spooky things. The goal of this project was to take a picture that seemed uneasy or creepy. I did this but putting my model in creepy positions to make the photo seem creepy. I also took pictures of empty streets at night to give the photos an uneasy feeling. After the photos were taken a adjusted them and combinded photos together to make a creepy feeling. I adjusted the colors to make them black and white or have a sertain old - timey feel to it.
To take these photos, our class went out on to Colfax, a local street, and took photos of things on the street. We took pictures of focal points while using our rules of composition to take them. After we took the photos we went into Photoshop and made color adjustments to make a focal point pop or to convey a feeling to the photo.
The purpose of this photo shoot was to get textured photos. We used different perspectives including birds-eye view, worms-eye view, and macro (zoom) photos to get the texture. I found texture in nature and things I found around my house. I can use different points of view in my photos by capturing texture and using, for example a worms eye view, to convey a message.
These are all the photos that I took for the Composition Unit. The photos I took represent the nine rules of composition (ex. symmetry, fill the frame, depth of field). There are also three photos of me. A strong photogragh is composed of a strong focal point and usually more than one rule of composition.
